Why Select this Training Course?

The Rcademy Radiation Safety Officer Certification Training Course is designed to offer fundamental knowledge to those who may encounter radioactive substances or those responsible for radiation safety in their workplace. This course helps those individuals to gain the necessary knowledge for the management of such situations. Participants who complete the course will have the essential knowledge to properly carry out all the duties required of radiation safety officers. This knowledge will allow them to regulate facilities and organisations working with radioactive sources and radiogenic establishments. Additionally, this training program serves as a vital resource for your organisation to adhere to accreditation standards and ensure compliance with regional laws and regulations.

While working as a radiation safety officer, your primary roles cover developing safety procedures, documenting relevant data, and adhering to legal requirements. By completing the Rcademy Radiation Safety Officer Certification Training course, participants will obtain all the necessary skills for designing, implementing, maintaining, and improving radiation safety protocols.

What is a radiation safety program?

A radiation safety program is a set of rules, guidelines, and measures intended to mitigate or eliminate the adverse impact of radiation on individuals and the surrounding environment. The RSO manages and implements this program.

Who is a Radiation Protection Officer?

A Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) is an individual who has extensive knowledge in radiation protection and regulation. That being said, the position has slightly different roles depending on the country.

Who Should Attend?

The Rcademy Radiation Safety Officer Certification Training Course is ideal for;

  • Radiation safety officers work in testing laboratories, academic facilities, oil fields, medical establishments, and any other organisation that handles radioactive materials.
  • Health, safety, and environment (HSE) managers, supervisors, and officers who are charged with enforcement of radiation safety procedures within their organisations.
  • Professionals working in the areas of radiology, radiation physics, training, and research in radiation-related tasks looking to better understand radiation safety concepts.
  • Personnel who are directly in these or nearby restricted radiation areas like technicians, engineers, and maintenance staff.
  • People who directly come across ionising radiation, such as lab technicians, radiographers, and medical care workers.

What are the Course Objectives?

After completing the Rcademy Radiation Safety Officer Certification Training Course, participants will:

How will this Course be Presented?
